Dear european
colleagues
We
wish we could set up a strong link with an English-speaking partner
school.
Our
students, aged from 17-21, go through training courses either in
farming, business or
trading studies.
Our school stands by the seaside in a semi-rural area in Normandy.
Granville is a lively town, one-hour drive approximately from Caen or
Rennes ( the nearest main towns ).
Those students spend 15 days at school and 15 days in their training
company.
As
far as the forms are concerned, +he number of pupils is as followed:
- Agriculture ( level: 6th form ): Between 20 and 30 students on
average
- Business studies / trading ( level: 6th form ): between 10 and
20 students on average.
- Vocational Training Certificate ( post A level ): between 15
and 20 students on average.
Those students already go through a training period abroad,
either working in farms or studs for a minimum of 4 weeks and 10 weeks
maximum.
One
common point between those 3 professional training courses is our
interest in enhancing pupil learning but also opening our school to
Europe as we have already managed to do on a local ground through
various activities.
Obviously, our interest turns toward English-speaking countries as our
students have learnt
English as a sole foreign language in their curriculum. Besides, +he
school Headmaster strongly supports this project, hoping that those
pieces of informa+ion will urge you to reply positively to our offer.
Could you please let us know whether you are interested in an exchange
and, if so.. on which basis ( form or lengh of the exchange).
We
all look forward to hearing from you.
